  • Replacing flywheel and clutch

It sounds and feels as if the dual mass flywheel has finally gone. I will order new solid flywheel set from Roughtrax, but can anyone recommend a decent workshop in Durham / Chester-le-Street area to get it fitted?
Other alternative is to do it myself. Can someone advise if this is a sensible idea as it will have to be done on the driveway and trying to balance box on trolley jack when removing and fitting looks like easy way to crush more of my fingers!

I'd use 2 sets of ramps so youve got some space.

Thanks Marky, I also found a transmission adapter for trolley jack for about £35 which looked worth investigating as I didn't fancy balancing it on single point.
Since then i have had quote of £150~£200 for doing the job at local workshop, so I reckon i will go with that and save lots of skinned knuckles and swearing (which seems to happen on most of the jobs I try!).
