  • Too much oil here???

I'm replacing the rocker cover gasket and took the air intake off from the opposite side of the turbo, and there was a lot of oil around it - does this indicate a problem?

I was told not when i had the same problem, but i think i'm gonna install a catch can in the breather pipe and see if that stops it, coz it's only getting burned if it's going back through the intake.

mine was no worse than that - got a catch tank on it now though but not checked the pipes since cos they are a pain to get back on!

It's caused by oil vapour from the breather pipe (rubber hose top of pic)
Nothing to worry about. Wipe it out then re-fit the hose.
Then, about every month or two, you only need to take off the black plastic tube and the rubber elbow that connects onto the turbo and give them a wipe out.
