What can be done without spending HUGE amounts of money to boost horse power in my 2.4 turbo ??

Wastegate mod, using washers to space it out, larger bore exhaust, (2.5 to 3 inch down pipe from the turbo), intercooler, lpg fumigation and water injection. There may be more, but can't think of any offhand.

the free ones are a simple 1/8 turn on the fuel pump, and spacing the wastegate out with washers (about 1 to 3 mm) on the turbo.

or just buy a 3.0l

Nah, its just valve that opens to restrict boost. It lets exhaust bypass the turbo impeller, it doesn't vent to outside.

Super glue 3x1mm washers together for each bolt in the actuator. Less fiddly than 1 at a time.
