Toyota hilux auto, won't drop down gears can anyone help me????

Hi, i have a toyota hilux auto 2.4 1992, which has been brill till the other day when i tryed to stop and my car didn't seem to want to, the revs stay up when i take my foot off the gas so i just put it into neutral so they drop and stick it back it gear and its fine for a bit. it works fine upto 30mph then it changes up a gear and when i slow it dosent change back down. please please can anyone help me, Cheer Jordan

Could be a sticky or worn throttle position sensor. or even the cable sticking.
