Its the one that sits at the rear left of the the engine between the turbo and the exaust inlet. If you know what i mean. Its blowing exaust gass over my engine. this must be why my car has felt so slow it not just cos its a 2.4!!! get this sorted then its one step closer too getting the intercooler fitted!

hi there you will need to get in touch with toyota to get that gasket or you will have to buy a complete set.
Ring your local toyota and give them chasis model year etc of surf and they will order the gasket for you.
is it the one on the top that connects to the turbo if so then that one was £6.23 +vat

yea. This is for the 3l tho.If you have trouble with your local dealer then ring Parklands Toyota in Helston as they were very helpfull when i rang them for all the gaskets for my turbo and once all your details are on their system it will stay on there. If they won't post it to you let me know and i will sort it out as a guy from there lives just down the road so i had mine delivered

Right found the problem after getting a new gasket which is not the right one!! so if anyone needs it let me know and its yours.

AS you can see in the pic although being a little dirty my gasket is fine. it was the stud screws one was broke and another one was really loose so thats why it was leaking! trying to sorce replacments is tricky. Although did find an import dealer that is breaking surfs and has several in at the mo so will be going back there for any spaires i need! They did have a look for the screw i needed but could only find one that was too short but they gave it to me anyway. If anyone knows where i can get 4 replacments i would be greatfull.

anyway its all back together and just took it for a run and it seems to be back to its old self and running fine. thanks for the help stormforce
