Sump Removal ?

Evening all .. just a quick question.. is it possible to remove the sump (93 2.4) with the engine in situ ? I dropped the aircon fans down and the sump (oil pickup section ?) looks very close to the diff casing. If it is possible, any pointers for removal of extra parts for easy access ? Cheers!!

You need to remove the front diff so the sump drops down far enough to clear the oil pickup.

i managed to have mine off with the diff still in place. on me 89 2.4 pick-up but, didn't have the gear box on at the time. might be why
