  • What oil is best for 2.4 J reg

    Hi surfers

I am just about to change the oil on my Surf, what oil do you recommend. mineral or semi synthetic and any preference on brands etc also I am looking for a set of ramps, can anyone recommend any I have a set of Halfords which are ok but are a bit narrow.

    Thanks a lot

10-40 or 15-40 semi-synth. Personally, I like the Comma oil, but whichever
    brand takes your fancy.

10w-40 should be fine. Dont spend hell of a lot on the semi/synthetic oil, just get a quality one you know will do, as your going to be changing the oil again in 6000 miles

After 6000m it will be like the dregs tray from the guinness tap.

Should be ok to drink though

i think thats what mine is like. after 450-500 mile round trip probably find the oil is that $$$$ and that's why my oil pressure dropped to nearly nothing all the way home from salisbury

5000Km's or 3000 miles is the recommend oil change, if you're driving normally stretching it out a few thousand K's extra won't hurt.

If you do a lot of towing or drive it hard than change it on time.
