If you can afford it rebuild it (£1200) It depends on how much you like it .... a v8 conversion will probably cost more .
If i had the money i woud go for the 3ltr 2nd gen and sell the old one off for spares

Do not go and buy a hairdressers 3rd gen

Keep a look-out on Ebay for a V8 RangeRover, I nearly bought a 3.9 EFI the other day for £375 to do a conversion. It was a runner too, only done 70,000 miles but I remembered my lack of storage space and slapped my hand before I clicked on the buy it now button!!

Sorry to hear about the head, I know the feeling, just had mine replaced.

Cost about £1250.00 incl, fluids, filters etc.

V6 may be an option, seen some on ebay, look OK.

Update

Turbo i think is on its way out
when you turn it you can kinda feel it sticking

not good

so far

all the pipes off the top out
rad out
pulleys off
timeing belt cover off
working on the turbo side
stuck on the exhaust downpipe bolts

ran outa light

BUT!!! as i have nothing to drive
(unitll i put a clutch in the Zook)
it means i can drink beer!!!!

need a few prices for parts and the wassit settings for a head
