  • Help needed rad split due to high pressure?

    Hi
Can anyone help my rad split today took it to brighton radiators who said it had to much pressure build up.The rad looks fairly new.It did not boil up the temp gauge does not move above half way.I've noticed the water pump was replaced sometime recently as well.I've only had the surf for about 4 weeks but have done over 1500 miles without fault.

How bad/big is the split? You shouldn't be able to get a high pressure buildup
in the rad unless your rad cap is completely screwed. Have you replaced the
'stat and cap since getting the Surf?
