hi tony, just wondered how much / how long it would be for you to adjust the tappets/shims on my 2.4... im fairly mechanicaly minded but heard you need sets of shims etc and dont fancy it!! many thanks

Its a fawker, only because you need to tear it apart to measure it, once you've worked out what shims we need they need ordering from Toyota (at £5 a shim and 20 of them I don't have them in stock!! )

Then swapping them and the lid putting back on.

So its not a one day job.

If you can measure them and let me know what to buy, it could be done on the day, otherwise I need the truck to visit for a few days.

Actual fitting them should only be a couple of hours.

aaah bugger.. the mrs asked me what i wanted for x mas and i said for tony to do me engine lol... ill take it easy till the new year and will prob leave it with ya for a week(long enough?) if ya got any idea approx how much you can pm me if you dont want prices displayed mate cheers
