sorry cant help with the pipe.
But got to ask what is it you are holding and were does it go? I got one of then as well hanging about under the bonnet.

It's the airflow sensor, it's just pushes into a rubber grommet in the elbow that comes out of the top of the air filter box.

if your really stuck do what i did as a temporary measure i used water proof duct tape from homebase for about£5 wrap it round the split hose a few times and i even put the jubilee clips over the tape. anything to stop little foreign bodies getting in there past the air filter!!

Oil from the rocker cover outlet. It's part of the emission reduction system.
Oil catch can if you want to trap it.
