hello sir(s), i hope you'll find time to answer my inquiries... since i first got my pre-owned 1991 Surf 2L-TE, i really fell in love with its features... however, i am no mechanic to do some basic troubleshooting and fix. I just know that my (whitey) surf got some problems, and i don't know what to tell my mechanic what to fix... please spare me some time.
i got a series of questions which i will address to you... i sent an e-mail to sir mon69 who has a post regarding TURBO BOOST FIX http://www.toyotasurf.asn.au/techsite/turboboostfix.htm ... but unfortunately, he hasn't answered back yet...
about my inquiry sir(s), when i checked out the post made by sir mon, i noticed the tiny hoses fixtures http://www.toyotasurf.asn.au/techsite/turboboostfix.htm and when I cross-checked with my surf, i found out there are some hoses which aren't in place... i even saw one with a screw plugged on its end...
i would want to ask sir if he (sir mon) could send me the correct connections for the tubings (i forgot to mention to you that, i can't even find the T-PIECE he was referring to in his post).. perhaps, it added problem with the turbo of my surf... it consumes oil, oil is leaking (i suppose (almost below of) at the turbo assembly). should i change my turbo or just purchase a repair kit gasket for it?... I can't even find a good TURBO assembly for it here in the philippines since all of the surfs here were all imported from japan... can you suggest any options?
furthermore, do you suggest ENGINE WASH? my engine is too dirty because of the oil leak from the turbo...
about the tubings again sir(s), do you want me to send the exact picture of the engine bay of my surf and picture of its tubings so you could have a better picture of it?
about its airconditioning unit, i think the aircon system can't seem to cool the entire cabin... i noticed that its evaporator is somewhat small. Is it advisable to make some modifications on it? or change its evaporator to maximize its cooling capabilities? if i should change its evaporator, can you suggest an evaporator to replace it?
I really got so many questions with my surf sir.. so please be kind enough to bear with my inquiries...
thank you very much sirs and hoping for your soonest replies.
