Turbo/check light

Have an intermittent problem now, whilst driving normally, revs above 2000 rpm turbo light illuminated as normal but more and more frequently turbo light goes off and check light comes on ! then check goes off and turbo comes back on. don't seem to be a loss of power or anything so was wondering why this happens. Any ideas guy's ?

could be the turbo is over boosting (have you put washers behind the wastegate valve) or maybe the ecu needs reseting by removing the fuse or disconecting the batteries for a few minutes.
maybe a problem with the turbo sensor or pipe attatched to it loose
