Rocker box gasket query

I've just changed the Rocker box gasket on my '94 Hilux diesel pickup as it was leaking. I've tightened the nuts but there's still a small leak. How tight should I do the nuts, I'm a bit wary as the gasket is rubber. Can't find any torque settings in the manual as a guide but I cloud tighten them up a bit .

I changed mine a few weeks back - both sides of the gasket were smeared with Hermetite Gold - its a soft non setting gel made just for this type of job.

Do not over tighten the bolts - they are not very strong. I broke one and it was a beach to get the stud out.

If its still leaking check the cover is not bent or damaged.
