gearbox solenoids

Hello all,

i've got problems with my gearbox and i think from looking at the forum that it is the solenoids. I've got under the truck to try and remove the sump but the driveshaft seems to be in the way. Do i need to remove the shaft or am i just being stupid and missing something.

yes mate i had to remove the shaft out the way to repair my leaking sump not too long ago... i also cut the exhaust off and re welded it after struggling for ages to drop the sump down enough to clean the silicone off it in order to put new sealant on it!! dont know if that was just mine or its like that on all of them. good luck and id make sure you get some decent sealant for the sump as a precaution... i dont think they have a gasket!
