  • low turbo power

    Hi there

I have got a 2.4 and I am having problems with the turbo. Don’t seem to have any power from it. I can’t feel it kick in or feel any power from it at all at any speed. The turbo light comes on at 2000 rpm as always and goes off when I lift my foot off the peddle. All the pipes are on nice and tight and wires seem good. But I can’t find anything wrong with it.

    Any idea people

What happens if this filter is up the creek ?

          It's more of a one-way valve than a filter.
But in answer to your question, I guess no turbo boost and over fueling.

So you should be only able to blow thro it one way ?

Just tried mine, I can blow through it easily one way, but with difficulty the other way.

              Do you have turbo/power problems?

I have just blow mine as well lol, ok one way hard work the other.

I have cleaned all the pips and checked the air feed new filter, cleaned feed pipe to the turbo and from the turbo to the carb.

No change at all to the way the turbo was not working.

I tryed the washers at the back of the turbo gate, only put one washer on each bolt, tryed it again seems to have the power now.

So was it the spring in the gate that was just not strong enough.

Thank you for your help again vince
