please help with warning lights
On buying my 89 2.4 surf I found that 1: the alternator wouldn't charge. Swapped for one from an 88 hilux and after a bit of a struggle fitting it the battery is now charging. BUT 2. Timing light wont reset and stays on, water in fuel light is still on, as is battery light.
I read some thread with someone having the same prob but an alternator swap cured it..but not in my case. Anyone any ideas as I'm getting paraniod with all these warning lights and nothing wrong.....or is it?

Please help as the missis is not impressed at this new arrival, especially after the 4 runner we had cracked a head and cost a fortune..but I can't help my self!!!
