Piston Rings

Ok fellow surfers frm the UK and Ireland. I have a wee issue with my pistion rings, ergo they do not appear to be doing quite as good a job as they maybe should be. What I am trying to establish is how much would it cost to get the piston rings done? Also can anybody recommend a good Mechanic either in County Cork in Eire or anywhere along the M4 Corridor that can turn around a job like this with competance and in a reasonable time frame?

I'm in the UK every other week these days so, can drop the Surf almost anywhere within reason.

As a side note, once the piston rings have been done I was hoping to fit the LPG fumigation system from Tinley Tech so if you suggestions for a mechanic can include a talented bod who can complete both tasks at the same time, life would be pretty sweet!

What is an LPG fumigation system???

Sorry about the delay in reply, vacation has interupted my Surfing.
An LPG fumigation kit is a way of having LPG run in your diesel engine, the effect is that the gas is mixed with the diesel at a rate of approx 15% and has a sort of NOS effect. The main thing is that you burn very very clean and efficiently.

There a number of links and Tinely Tecj supply the kits. They kits are getting very popular on high milege trucks and buses.
