Does Anyone Know Whats Up With My Surf??

I Recently Had The Head Replaced On My Truck And Everything Appears To Be Running Fine, However When I Rev It Over 4000rpm The Engine Check Light Comes On And I Loose Power.

    Any Ideas???

Possibly vacuum pipes. Without knowing which vehicle you
    have, try this one:

Also, just reread your post, how the heck do you manage to get
    above 4000 RPM?

THE TRUCK I HAVE IS A 1993 SSR-X 2.4TD auto, IF THAT HELPS.

AS FOR THE VACUUM HOSES I'LL GIVE IT A GO AND SEE IF IT WORKS.

AS FOR IT REVING OVER 4000RPM, THATS WHAT IT REVS TO WHEN IT CHANGES GEAR. MY TRUCK HAS HAD A BIG LIFT, (SEE IT ON THE MEMBERS RIG UNDER PBRADY) AND WITH THE BIG TYRES, IT TAKES A BIT TO GET GOING.

        Hi Mattf,

Had A Look A Those Vacuum Pipes You Suggested. What Do You Know You Were Right. Re Connected The Pipe And Everything Is Running Perfectly Know, No More Engine Check Light And Loads More Power.

        Cheers Mate.

At last, that bit of advice has finally worked. Had a look at
your beast in the members rigs, BTW, and beast is the operative
word. Glad to know your problems sorted.
