i recently bought a 92 ssrg 2.4 auto for £600,it needed a new diesel pump to get it going,its now on the taxed and tested,just notice odd things hope some one can help clear up.
when braking there is a slight judder from the steering,if it was a motorbike i would say the head bearings were loose,but its not its a surf and completely different,all the steering track rod ends seem ok and it passed its mot 2 weeks ago no probs.the brake pedal doesnt pulsate so it isnt warped discs(i think),and i dont think its fitted with abs.
is the turbo light meant to come on when the tubo kicks in,(my old xj650 just had a boost guage),my light has not been on yet,it only comes on when the key is turned on,like the management light.it goes out after that,is my turbo goosed? it seemed to feel ok when i fiddled with the impeller when i did the diesel pump.(well it went round smoothly)
has anyone ever pulled the turbo lump and auto box out and and stuck a non turbo lump and manual box in to see if greater fuel economy can be acheived?
