Does'nt sound right, mines a bit of a dog but will do 80ish on the flat and still pull 70 up hill.
Is the surf new to you or do you know its service history?
When were all the filters last changed?
Do you have very large tyres on?
Any black smoke?Last edited by plumb bob; 31 May 2006, 00:26.Rob

Have you any air leaks on your boost pipes? I changed mine for jubilee ones the Toyota sprung ones are a bit pants also are you getting full throttle on your injector pump mine was a bit sluggish and i found that i wasnt getting full power on the pump and also check the actuator i had one jam open on my Cosworth and got only 2 psi of boost when it was supposed to be running 35psi

Originally posted by basic_meosorry for responding too late, It was fuel pump and now I can't get the car to start when the engine is cold I have to give a manual hand pump to the fuel filter head to have it first star also I have realised that the turbo light is not on when I am driving and I don't know if this cowboys mechenic have touch something in the turbo
Maybe you have air it the fuel? You get get rid of it by loosening the nuts on the injectors and cranking the engine over until fuel dribbles from all the pipes.
Check that the air temp sensor is plugged into the outlet on the air filter, if it is not then the turbo light will not come on. Also check that all the small rubber pipes are all connected on and around the throttle assembly.
