  • Air filter to turbo hose

    Hello again all,

The rubber bellows hose that connects the air filter assembly
to the pipe over the rocker cover. What type of piping can be
used for this? Mine has split, but the original type just looks a bit
doable upable Would a 3 ply polyester reinforced silicone
hose with a wall thickness of 4.5mm do the job? (Blue, BTW).
If not, are there any suppliers who do a slightly more sad but
cute looking replacement? Also, what inner bore size would the
    hose need to be?

Just as an aside, in my unending search for supplies of stuff
I may never need but which are useful, , have details for a
company at Barnsley who stock just about anything related to
hydraulic/pneumatic connections that you can imagine, (and
more). I've been drooling over their catalogue since I got it
If anyone wants their contact details I'll pop them up.

Is the Milner's one silicone? I thought it was just like
the original rubbery black bellows type. If it is, anyone
know what colour it is? (I know I'm sad, you don't have
        to say).

Nice to know it deadens the noise. Shame about the colour.
I'll have to stop putting it off and get one. Amalg only lasts so long.

Drove around with this Gaffer Tape for a few years:

Then I ordered a replacement one from Roughtrax. Have to say I was a tad dissapointed with the blue silicone hose they sent me. It wasn't the black, convoluted OEM hose I was expecting.....and I could of bought the same thing from the local 'Max Power' type shop for much less......

That's pretty much what mine looks like at the moment, apart
from the fact that I used amalgamating tape instead of gaffer.
