What are the largest tonka-toy tyres I can buy for my surf.
that will fit on its standard rims.
Given;

1;need to be able to get in & out to use it without ladder

2;good enough to use on-road

3;Turning circle would be nice as well

Without any lift 31's, 3" of lift (approx) for 32's, 4" of lift for 33's.

33's will drag performance and MPG down quite noticably on a 2.4.

You could strech 32's on to the standard 7" rims at a pinch, and would stand less chance of rubbing than 8" rims on smaller lifts.

Stick with 31's and 2" rear coils and wheel spacers for 7" rims if you don't want to mess with things to much but want the truck to be a little more 'pert'
