  • Oil Leaks and Turbo Reconditioning

I now have a new machanic over here in rural cork and he is an absolute gem where anything 4x4 comes into play (he is also very familiar with Roughtrax and Milners!!). So my oil leak is not the worn cylinders as i thought but a worn bush within the Turbo. It transpires that our beloved trucks do not have bearings but rather bushes in the turbo's. As the bush wears, it seeps oil out onto the manifold, and generally causes a mess on the drive.

Now this leads to the next point on the agenda, does anyone know where I can get a recon Turbo? I don't trust most recon parts, and I would like to know who has a good reputation for Recon Turbo's?
I don't need it too quickly but I will need one closer to the end of the year.

Cheers, I've bookmarked that and when the time comes I'll look them up. Let me know who you get on with your tubo nut bod.

      Cheers

Ouch, but I guess it's worth it in the long run! I may go for big tanks and a fuel cat first though.

When i used to have my MR2 turbo i had my CT26 turbo enlarged to a stage 2 done by Owen Deleopments and they were really fast in getting it done and at a farily cheap price £500 considering what they did.

They can go fast, I can go anywhere.
