  • New Injectors - Where can I get them?

As my surf is now struggling to get 350km from 55 litres of fuel (used to be 550km), and smoking more than a chav on a street corner , I think it's time to treat her to some new injectors.

Can anybody tell me where I can get them from. Have tried the usual places i.e. Roughtrax, Milners etc, and no joy.

I got a recon set from UK cylinder heads, however maybe Stevo on here can get hold of some.

I've been getting mine from deisel bob, Snoop's truck had an uprated set, Marverick had a normal set and both seen OK, but Dirtydog has a smoke problem with his, but don't know any details as I didn't see them or fit them.

I'm expecting a set back from him next week, just standard recon's though, not uprated.

Are they already sold off to someone? If not, they are now!

What is the advantage of the upraded ones? Do they provide any better performance / mpg etc. or do they just last a bit longer?

my smoke prob has calmed down now a bit and is mainly when running on veg. my economy is still really bad though. they were uprated for veg apparently.

Like Tim said, they are 'sposed to be better for veg and/or a small power increase, especially if matched with his 'Bob box' which is a ECU upgrade.

Jez, they are for stock, for you can reserve them if you want, it's just to save me having to send your injectors off and get them done, now I have a set on the shelf and can keep the set I take off and set them recon'ed for the next job.

Snoops had uprated fitted in his 3.0, but cause we rebuilt the whole motor, including bored out cylinders/skimed head etc, its hard to tell if the injectors are making much difference, or the whole engine is just better than before as its all new and slightly bigger bore.

Yes please, i'll take them. What day are you expecting them back? And how much are they? Can I book the truck in with you one day in the week of the 20th Feb or the week after that if you're really busy? I could also do with an oil change at the same time if you could!

OK, I'll let you know when I get them.

So I guess the answer to your original post, after all this, is...........

                ME!
