After finally getting the 80 Amp fuse for the glowplugs, I fitted
it and the car started a treat for 5 days... until this morning!
Its blown again - and since blown two more. Before blowing, the dash
lights are dim for a split second intil its blown. I know there is a short,
but is it likely that my glowplugs have had it - and can I test them
before I start rooting around for a short?

and I found my problem was a short i took it into Lucas.
but they sorted it out for me..on my 2.4 1990 surf. I had something called a engine warmer above starter motor and below inlet manifold..they got rid of this
(something you need only in extrem weather conditions in Japan) i have had no problems since..Lucas do electrical problems so if you can't sort it try them..It drove me mad
for months until I handed it over to Lucas..best of luck Shiny UK
