4WD gear stick vibration

I get this on my Surf. At low revs it makes an annoying rattle, put my hand on it to stop it and its fine (obviously) but its annoying.

anything i can do, anyone suffererd same prob ? ?

Yes, same problem. Not yet found a cure. It's mainly the 4WD button that "buzzes" at lower revs. OK when your driving normally though.

Yep, I have a 100% cure.

Take a packet of Benson & Hedges Ciggaretes (Burnt Hedgehogs if you preffer) Take the front edge of the lid, where it's sort of folded over on itself to make a stiff bit about 7mm deep. Tear that strip off and tear a third of it off. Push the remaining 2/3 into the gap between the button and it's surround. Job done.

It must be quite a long lasting repair, I gave up smoking over 6 months ago and still no rattle. You could probably use an embassy no.1 packet but the gold is classier.
