  • windscreen heater update still not working!!!

after moving the arms to the correct position
( i had missed the top arm before )

i have greased both arms and they now move very well

But the thing that is meant to move them does not move far enough
when you press the buttons it seems to move backwards and forwards with no trouble

    just not far enough forwards!!!

any ideas as i have just disconected it for the moment

Press the button for feet warming position, then press button for windscreen demist, while at the same time watching and helping the plastic levers. Also, turn off the side window vents to maximise the 'blow' on the screen.

you could check on the cable to see if it sits at the home position correctly to give you the right amount of movment each way.

There is some provision for adjustment. Look for a piece of wire connected to a small plastic block. If you carefully disconnect this you can screw the wire in and out for adjustment. I'll see if I can get a pic of this part later today.

            Here is the pic.

The serated part of wire clips into the plastic block. This can be removed by gently pulling out from clip and reinsert in appropriate position by pressing back in. It may take a bit of experimenting to get right.

EDIT: Correcedt info on how adjustment is done.
