Rear Window

Need some help guys if ya can ??

The rear window goes up and down ok with the switch inside the cab,
But will only go up with the key from the outside anyone got an idea whats wrong ??.

My guess is a wire off the keyswitch mechanism in the tailgate..

O.k. guys,
I have just had a look, and as it happens nobody has been there before as the plastic cover hasn't been broken till today.

Anyway couldn't see a bl**dy thing wrong, but still not work

Just took another look, this time i was armed ( with a torch)
Then it died on me f***ing thing.
Then tried to operate window with tail gate down wouldn't work all i got was some bleeping noises as i turned the key ???????????????.

Put it all back together and GAVE UP.

Did you close the latches on either side on the tailgate ?
This is the usual cause of the bleeping.
Support the Window !!!

The wires sometimes break where they come from the body to the tailgate inside the plastic conduit . Mine had 2 broken wires , both of which stopped the key operating the window .Wires looked OK but no current would pass through so dont go by sight only , use a meter .

Rear Window Problems

My rear window is sticking whilst going up or down on the key or button. I'm having to help it with my hand. Any suggestions please?

The beeping was a warning that the tailgate was not closed and will not operate the window unless in a fully closed position. The switches are in the side of tailgate where the latches are and to operate the window in the down position requires closing the latches. When you do this make sure they click twice. I'd say the other guys are right and you have a problem in the key switch itself or a broken wire. Support the window if operating the window with the tailgate in the down position or something will break
