veg oil

Guys i need some help PLEASE.

My 2.4 is costing me a fortune to run, and i am currently thinking about the use of veg oil.
Or i will have to SELL.
Can anybody tell me how to use it, do i need to mod the surf in any way,
and will it cause any dammage by using it.
Also there are that many oils in the supermarket, witch one would i use or is it all the same just diffrent knames ???.

Hi, im using a 50/50 mix at the mo with no modification or trouble, i am thinking about adding an inline fuel cat to increase the mix. As for the oil itself cash and carry is the cheapest but if not Sainsbury's are doing 3ltrs for £1.20 at the mo and Asda £1.30...

As I HAVE ALREADY just filled her from 1/4 tank to full £45.00
(OUCH).

When you say 50/50 how much veg oil (litrs) you putting in reason for asking is don't know how much my tank holds on the 2.4 auto,
also i might add i never let it go below 1/4 tank ????

when mines on 1/4 tank i chuck in 30ltrs veg then toddle off to garage and fill her up, as its getting colder i may only use 25ltrs from now.

The t.d on your car means Turbo Diesel doesn't it ? Vegoil is a Diesel not a petrol substitute. Alchohol (ethanol) is the petrol substitute.

Also those fuel cat's seem to do the busness, just wonder how hard they are to fit of if anyone local to nottingham can fit em.

Guys,

I put 18 ltrs of veg oil in the other night when the needle said 1/4 tank left,
Then went to morrisons and filled her right up for a further £24.

This morning it seemed to be a little lumpy on starting but after a couple of secconds it was fine.

I know at 12 ltrs it was fine on starting,
But i think some of you guys are using more than me.

Have i put too much oil in or is this normal ???????????????????
