    Hello again

Yep.... I have another one from the book of stupid questions....

When you order brake pads from toyota they say their are two different kinds... one of them is nice and cheap - about £20 - the other one (which typically is the one i needed) is about 65 inc VAT....

Have just been on the milner site and they do only one set???

Is there two or are toyota just being silly - i.e. ripping me off??

    Thanks

I my experiance, one type are about 3-5mm deeper, they changed the caliper sizes in about 91, you can fit the small size in both type, but the deeper ones rub on the hub when fitted in early calipers, I quess Milner and Roughtrax just list the one that fits all, there is very little difference.

Get yerself down to your local autofactors/spares emporium and get them from there. I paid £12 for mine and they're fine.
Of course if you have gold plated brake disks then go for the most expensive ones.

Did mine last night. Why is one side always dead easy to do & the other a pain in the neck.

I reccon its because you are either right or left handed - I wonder if any ambidextrous folks have a prob - ever tried pulling on a sock with the 'wrong' hand?
