Can anyone tell me wot are the best glow plugs to use, I have just replaced mine as i have had trouble with starting with NKG plugs but still having trouble. Starts ok with easy start so this leads me to think its still the plugs. Can anyone confirm this or has anyone any other ideas? ps has anyone heard of Hot Spot plugs and where to get them from.

    Hi Jubarink!

Welcome to the forum - you'll find that 99% of members here are completely mad, but you'll also find that this is forum is like Carlsberg lager, i.e. probably the best in the world (for Surf info anyhow).

Unfortunately I don't know the answer to your thought provoking question, but if you try doing a search on Glow Plugs you may find some enlightenment. You'll probably also find loads of info re Chillitt's shed , but there ya go.

Hope you find the answer. You'll have to let us know how you go on. I'm on the verge of buying some Glow Plugs myself.

Hi Julie, you might also want to try RoughTrax. If you're looking for specific advice you can speak to Barry there. He's always really friendly and helpful, and knows his stuff.

Would also check glow plug fuse is OK. How long you leaving it before turning the key, could also be glow plug relay.

Thanks for that, but had a sparky check through wires and fuses etc, not on normal relay, been rewired so on manual button inside car, but its all ok, power to all bits that need it anyway.
