  • Service schedule?

Hi there, it's time for the car's first service, I think it should be an intermediate one. Having only got limited information with the car, can someone point me in the direction of the service schedule I should be following? I'm sure I saw one on the net somewhere but can't seem to find it now.

The local Toyota garage quoted me £112 + VAT, would that be about right? When I've had a look at what needs doing I may decide to do it myself - would I have any problems with that, special tools required etc?

Also, what's the general feeling about which oil to use? I see from the previous receipts supplied that it's been on Mobil 1.

    Cheers.

Hi there Marky, just a servive, an intermediate one. I'm sure I've seen on the web somewhere that it's every 4500 miles intermediate and every 9000 major - that right?

        Save the cash.....

Get an oil, petrol & air filter kit from Milners Offroad
Use 10/w40 oil to replace the oil in there.

          Thanks Gizmo, but mine's a 2.4 ssrx, LN130 model.

The sort of info I need is what needs doing and when, an actual schedule to adhere to. If there's no info out there on this I might try calling the dealer back tomorrow and see if they can print me out a schedule based on the chassis number etc.

Thanks again for all the info.

            Thanks Gizmo

I eventually found this site here

It's got links for the service schedule like the one you linked to, but for 2.4TD models (LOL doesn't look any different from the one you linked to for 3.0 models!)

Use 10/w40 oil to replace the oil in there.
But one thing is it says to use 15/w40 oil - what does everyone here use and what difference would it make?

Of course...forgot about the australian site..not used for a long while. If you look here you will see the range at which the oil operates at

most people I know with diesels use the 10w/40 as its semi-synthetic and not fully synthetic oil
