How Heavy??

Another quick one for y'all.

I have just realized after buying axle stands that i dont know how much my surf weighs.

Its a 1993, 2.4 TD, Auto, SSR-X.
Does anybody know?

Also, i have got a trolley jack which is ok but not really very high.
I noticed today that there is not really any good places to put the axle stands under the front end.
Does anybody know of the best places to do this and also where the best point to jack it up is.

the Surf weighs about 1850-1900kgs ish so 2ton stuff will do but stronger is better I guess.

around about 1800kg

depends what work you're doing... i usually use the front wishbones

jack on chassis in a sensible looking place.
on the rear use the axle or get both wheels up jacking on the diff... just make sure you have chocks so it doesn't roll away!.... you could put it in 4wd and park but i'd still use chocks.

God i love this forum and everyone in it.

My surf was an impulse buy with the insurance money from my write-off a few months ago (£4000).

I ****** love my surf, i have driven in on the road the beach and in my local forest and its just fantastic. All my friends want one now as well.
Ive had to move a few washing machines but thats a small price to pay.

I am so glad i bought a Surf and the support from people in this forum backs up my arguement that the Toyota Hilux is the coolest car in the world.
