Siezed Front Caliper Pistons!!

Just a quick one guys and girls. Know you will solve it straight away!

Had loads of brake wobble since i bought my surf two months ago.
Got off my arse and got new pads and had a look today. the nearest pad come out and the new one goes in like a dream. Other side pad will not come out because the bottom piston is siezed!!
It is exactly the same on each side as well.

So, im happy thats were the judder was coming from but i would like to unsieze my pistons! ooo errr!!

as i am a simpleton i do not know how. Does anyone know????
by the way they are really really really siezed.

2 ways I do them .

1st is to put the old pad back in so it only fits against the free piston and then apply brake pedal and force the piston out . you can put a piece of wood in smaller in thickness then the old pad so if piston does move it does not come completly out .

2nd is to force piston back in with a G clamp if possible .

After both methods the piston needs to be worked in and out to free it right off .

Tony temporarilry sorted mine with lots for freeing and WD40
new calipers are on the list now.

WD40 can damage the rubber seals , so should be avoided on brake systems .

Don't stuff around with them if the pistons are seized.Pull the calipers off strip them down,inspect for piston or caliper damage and if ok replace seals (and pistons if needed) or replace the calipers.A quick fix now will mean having to do it all later anyway.
