  • The mysterious red button.

    Hi there,
I have just bought a Hilux, and as it is I have no instruction manual:-(
So I have just about worked out everything so far, apart from this strange red button near the gearbox.

As it is written in Japanese:-(

I didn't want to use it yet, as I didn't know what would happen.

I would be thankful for any help given.

      Hi Jens welcome aboard.
The red button is for moving the gear stick out of park without the need for ignition / engine on............................ .......Apparently, 'cos mine does diddley squat!

                    Yep, done all that.
I even tried surprising it by pressing it when it least expected me to, still nuffink!
Tried pressing it in the dark with no interior lights on, and it won't release the gearstick!
