    You are certainly right not to join them to the High-beam wiring. It's too small to start with. you would just blow fuses, and if you put in bigger fuses you would toast the loom.

    You can get a spotlight wiring kit from vehicle wiring products with the relay and wires all there and simple instructions. You just put it in as per the instuctions, and the only tricky bit is finding the right wire under the steering wheel to connect up the high beam.

    Have a go, it really isn't rocket science, you'll soon get into it.
