LN165 2L-T Low Power
Hi all!
New to the forum and I’ve, sadly, come with questions and problems.
To start off, a good mate has bought a lovely LN165 2L-T Hilux.
It was great for the first 20 mins, and it’s all of a sudden lost a lot of power.
He has had many people look at it, doesn’t really know it’s history, and they have all led him down the wrong path. Between new turbos, new fuel tank and new turbo sensors it’s still not fixed it.
In an attempt to get it right, I’ve taken it onboard to try and suss it out. So far we have found a broken LDA diaphragm which we have temporarily repaired while waiting for a new one to arrive, but this also didn’t fix it. Timing belt looks relatively new, and new tensioner also.
we’ve removed the injectors, had them tested. All okay apparently. I’m wondering if anyone has any suggestions, guides or ideas on where next? I’ve been told the fuel pump itself has a filter in so will most likely check that next. Does anyone have some suggestions?
