My wife reckons the vehicle you drive says a lot about your image - for years I had a grey Granada Estate - think about it !!!
Fortunately I got rid of it - now have a 3lt SSRX. Don't yet know what it's done for my image but I feel a lot better.
so if i swap a k reg escort estate for a j reg base model surf that says....?
Any Surf is better than an Escort, and there is no such thing as a Boring Surf. Think of it as a special edition, ready stripped out for use as an offroad toy, what do you want all those toys for anyway. Plus it will definately be a special one cos it will be the only one around with such a basic spec.
looks like i pick it up on tuesday, brace yourself...
any body got any cheap bits i can slap on it to make it more exciting?
(i have a forum sticker already..)
I dont give two farts for electric this and that, all just more to go wrong, even the EFI, mechanics hate it! Now a sunroof would be nice but thats all. Your average joe SSR will still knock the pants off you offroad and thats before you click your super electric switch and engage 4 wheel drive.
Think I'll even go and fit window handles to both sides of my tailgate and scrap the crappy leccy stuff Feck it I'll even go and ditch the starter and fit a cranking handle to the crankshaft pully And who needs the multi CD changers and double din stereos - we can sing cant we?
