EFI Engine What is This

Can somebody tell me what an EFI engine is and how to tell if my engine is please...

if it is an EFI it will say so in big red letters on the engine

The EFI engine uses the ECU (engine Management computer) and a fly by wire throttle to control the fuel pump timing and fuel flow. The non efi uses a standard throttle and the pump is adjusted for fuel flow and timing manually.

In terms of driving it, you won't notice any different. Engine codes for the EFI engines are 2LTE (2.4TD) and 1KZTE (3 Litre TD).
