Just bought a oil pressure gauge for my surf as I don’t trust the one that’s on it! I want to fit the gauge independent of the factory one. Are there any easy access points that I can drill and tap in too to do this??

Not a good idea to start drilling and tapping your lovely engine and risk getting swarf in the oil. Prob better idea is to get a tee piece and put it where the stock sender is so you can connect both. Or else just dispense with the stock one.
Let me know how you get on as I plan to do the same
Cheers

My gauge is probably fine I just like the idea of a few gauges with cool lights stuck to my dash, but it would annoy me loads if the one right in front of me didn’t work. I’m quite happy to make a fitting up to accommodate two pressure gauges and a temperature sensor as im a fitter turner to trade. It would save me some time if anyone new what type of thread it was to save me dismantling and measuring her.
That pesky car salesman again!
