My head is round the bend with the silly amount of vacum pipes everywhere. Dont know whats up, but when I attach the vacum hose that runs across the rocker cover, the engine looses power and wont boost. I know that the turbo is a simple wastegate set-up so it must be something to do with the fueling. Checked that the manifold butterfly wasnt playing up, definetly not caused by that because someone has pulled the hose off the solnoid and put a screw in. Also 4wd wont work, and when switched on there is no vacum getting to the actuator at the transfer box. Does anyone know where the solnoid is for this? Even when i connect the hose across the rocker cover this makes no difference. Is there anything obvious I should check first? The 4wd was working when I got it. I remember seeing a vacum diagram on here somewhere but cant find it now. Any help appreciated, thanks.

@ Silver - My email address is Dotalot@hotmail.com would appreciate that info. From looking at your diagram i can see i have been looking at the wrong place for the vacum. I was looking at the hose at the transfer box and not the front diff. Will have to have a look at that again.
@Nev - Cheers, looks like that hose is going to the ADD solnoid then.

Is it one of these ? They all seem ok. Want to check for power though. Also found the two solnoids. The hose comes from the pump, then through a 1 way valve. It then goes into the wing and back out again (dont know whats in wing) to the solnoids. I am assuming that one of them lets the vacum on one side of the diaphram to engage and the other lets vacum in at the other side to dissengage. There is a vacum at the one closest to the front of the vehicle, but even when the switch is pressed this is still the only one with a vacum. I tried swapping the hoses to see if it would engage the 4wd but still nothing.Last edited by RMS_CLK; 18 February 2005, 20:02.
