  • wheel arches

Hi guys, just a quicky, some little bugger has broken one of my extended wheel arches where it joins the mudflap, i know these things are stupidly expensive for what they are and cant be arsed with replacing it - can i just remove all 4 of the arches or will that leave gaping holes in my wings where they were bolted on. . .
dont want to pull them off just to investigate. . .

    thanks!

Depends, I think Genuine Toy ones are fixed from underneath. Other types may not be.

Can it not be fixed? I've repared one that got crunched on a post and it looked fine, they're only GRP.

by the look of it they should be covered, as i undertand it legally the arch must cover the tread section of the tyre, i think even with the arches removed it will cover and if it pokes out i think it will be so minor that nobody will notice.

havent plucked up the courage to remove one yet to see if it leaves holes just in case its a bugger to get back on.

someone must have taken one off so they can tell me! BTW they are the original Toyota arches. . .

          thanks!

if they are the original they should screw to the lip of the wheel arch there were no other fixings on mine there was no damage to the the bodywork that showed, unscrew it and see you can always put it back on only a 5 min job
