  • Tested rad temp by hand

    After a 7 mile drive I found the rad was cold at the bottom yet hot to touch at the top, got worried, maybe airlock.

    Next morning I took her for a spin. After 10 mins, the rad was hot all over, lovely. 5 mins later, stone cold at the bottom, roasting at the top.

    I reckon the thermostat is probably working perfectly and causing this.

    Does anyone think so too?

    Sounds like sludge in the bottom of the rad, it might be worth giving the coolant system/rad a flush?

      Nah this rads been flushed more times than Joan Collins colon, last time 2 weeks ago

        I would say that it's doing what it's meant to do, if you think about it the hot water will always rise to the top.
