Can anyone tell me how to remove window film. I have the mirror finish which I have tried peeling off the front windows. This has left the adhesive behind.
Can the film be removed from the rear window? Will this damage the heating element?

yes a stiff drink before you attempt this is a good idea.

I used very hot water (not boiling but close)
It heats up the glue and allows you to remove it in one sheet. Then rub off the remaining glue with a hot wet towle.
Will this damage the heating element?not if you are carefull DON'T SCRAPE IT
Took 15 mins to do the back window.

The film is on the inside of the back window? I had one which was outside. If it is on the outside then there should be no problem with the heating element. After removing the film if there's any glue left, you can pass a cloth with methylated spirits to remove the glue.

Thanks for all your help. I will try the hot water as the hairdryer was hard work.
