Smokey Surf

Hi guys
I think i need some advice.
Every couple of days my surf starts blowing plumes of black smoke, then it suddenly clears. I've noticed this also happens when i'm pulling into spaces i.e. forward reverse etc.
Then the next time I start it no problems.
Any ideas?

im sure most people will get a bit under load if you accelerate in reverse and the smoke goes past you _ i do a little.
when were the filters last changed? failing that the injectors might need looking at.

changed the filters bout 2 months ago.
I'm going to change them again this weekend.
The amount of smoke is not the normal surf amount even when im just sitting there. Had the injectors checked about 2months ago, seemed ok.
The strange thing is this problem doesn't aways happen somedays it drive great no smoke at all.
