Would fitting an intercooler to my 2.4td make any difference. Excuse my ignorance but my special field of interest is performance petrol engines. Would intercooling the standard engine have any benefit, or would there need to be setting up to see any benefits from it?

have a quick search mate - a few people have them fitted/are fitting and have seen a decent improvement.
I had an intercooler on my old Astra 1.7TD lump (Isuzu)

Yeah one of the originals. '93. Ive got a few intercoolers lying around so i'll maybe fit one and see. Any other cheap tricks like the intercooler i should know about?Comment

According to the Alisport website about 20-30% power gain is possible.
