It wont Stop!

Can anyone suggest why my surf wont turn off when i take the key out of the ignition, being an auto it makes stopping the engine tricky.

If yours is a 2LT then the Fuel Cut Solenoid on pump may not be shutting off fuel supply.If a 2LT-E then problem may still be pump but this model is a bit more complicated as it has a Spill Control Valve.

Have you got a turbo timer fitted? Mine has, but all the workings are hidden behind the dash, so it's not the obvious box of tricks with lights and switches that most seem to be. My engine will run for about a minute after the key is removed unless I press the brake pedal after switching off the motor with the key.

Just a thought.
