looks like I shall be needing a new head soon - are all the heads Stevo supplies the new improved redesigned version that doesn't suffer from the cracking problem?

Can he supply other bits as well, such as the various gaskets needed for the inlet, exhaust, turbo and throttle body? I also noticed that a few rubber hoses are a bit 'crispy' and should probably be replaced, and the big concertina pipe from the filter to the turbo has a nice rip in it, although I suppose taping that bit up would do as the pressure is low on that side.

Can someone just clear up this for me - I have an H reg SSR Limited 2.4TD Surf - how does LN130 relate to this? Are all parts for the LN130 (as in that link Marky provided) applicable to my Surf? I'm thinking primarily of engine parts such as gaskets, filters, washers and pipework.

              thanks
              James

Only thing to watch out for although it affects very little (ECU and fuel pump, intake trumpet and a bunch of switches) is that the LN130 covers both the 2LT and 2LTE (EFI) engines. However the head and gaskets are the same for both engines. Your engine will be a 2LT engine as I think the 2LTE was not fitted till late 1991.

Hmm - stamped into the engine bay bulkhead is 2LTE (stamped into the metal of the scuttle just below the windscreen/bonnet line).

Does it have EFI written on the pipe from the turbo outlet to the inlet trumpet?.

Mine is an early '90 EFI 2LTE.

Seems they put whatever engine they had at the time. The Landcruiser 2 (SWB 7X series) had the 2.4 early on from when it was first inported and always had the 2LTE as far as I know. However this was available in the 80s. Later on they put the 1KZT same as the UK Runner in it.

                            Cheers

Yes, it's got the large silver cover with EFI in red on it.
