I love this, someone who works for LR but owns a Toyota.
I know of a guy who manages a large Mitsubishi dealership and drives around in a Hilux pickup, coz he knows better. I wonder what his prospective customers make of it...
Wolf, is that the garage on the road that goes from Horsham down to Chichester? Not far from the old village with the castle and the waterfowl sanctuary? (Forgot the name!) I used to live near there.
The good thing about working on landies is that when you specialise in unreliable vehicles you generally always have work.
I also do alli and stainless tig welding, tube bending for bumpers/cages/sliders, diagnostics etc.
And although my boss despises anything other than land rovers im happy to bring in private work so the offers there should you require any assistance.
But yes, as im only down the road so will have to hook up.
Being in town field you probably know my bosses son ( shaun allfrey)
Quite possibly,it was a big LR dealer with large windows, kind of posh looking. They had built a couple of those fake rocky out crops outside, right by the road, and used to perch the vehicles there for display. Almost in front of it,on the right, going down towards Arundel from Horsham, there was one of those filling stations with the attached tyres place, with yellow and red arrow type logo, those ones that sell engine oil in the shop for 0.99 a litre!
That takes me back more than 20 yrs, driving down to Bognor in various clapped up 'studenty' type wrecks...
Biohazard, our place is past the church and half moon inn, down the hill and over the humpback bridge.
The stag is still at balls cross.
